A night out with a friend + paint + wine = the perfect way to spend a Tuesday!
Or any night for that matter.
I've been hearing about these fun events for a couple of months now.. so when a Groupon popped up for a "paint and pour" - I was in.
Chelsea got one too and we set a date.
You can actually choose which class you would like to attend based on the picture you would like to paint.
They provide the canvas, the paint, and the instruction.
We provide the snacks, the wine, and the willingness to have a great time!
You can read all about it here: Palmetto Paint and Pour.
This was our "picnic basket"....
4 kinds of cheese, 3 kinds of crackers, 2 bottles of wine, and 1 container of spinach dip.Yes, it was only for two people. And yes, I brought the majority of it back home. But it is good to be prepared!
We were the first to arrive.....
The instructor, Jana, was awesome! She managed teaching a class of 16 people by giving excellent instruction and advice ... all with a sense of humor.
Me with my completed painting...
(Please don't ask me what is going on with my hair. It is has been very muggy around here and my head has adopted a permanent afro.)
Chelsea with her painting...
It was really so much fun!! I would LOVE to do this again! It was so interesting to see how, even with the same instruction, every one's painting turned out a little bit different.
I'm adding this idea to the entertainment business my cousins, Angela and Carrie, are going to start! I've got it all planned out in my head... I just have to get them on board. :)
Looks like a lot of fun. I would love to try something like this. Your painting is great!
